Axel Schaefer, Managing Partner
Axel is an internationally experienced senior project developer and project financier with more than 16 years of Asia-Pacific experience. Axel specialized in PPP/BOT project development and privatizations of major infrastructure projects and in high end real estate project developments. Over the years Axel initiated and led many start-up situations in new markets. At the same time he has worked at managing director and regional head level. Axel contributes his in depth understanding of the Asian markets and respective personal contacts and networks developed over the course of his career.
Lieven Jacquemyn, Partner Singapore
Lieven is working with us on infrastructure and real estate opportunities. Lieven is running his own infrastructure development company, Plektics, out of Singapore. Prior to Plektics, Lieven worked as a Regional Director at KPMG’s Infrastructure and Projects Group based in their London office, Paris office and from 2007 to 2012 at their Singapore office. While at KPMG Lieven was actively involved in advising the Thai Government in developing its PPP Frameworks, as well as the development of PPP pilot projects for the PPP framework in Vietnam. Prior to his role as financial advisor he was a project manager at Bilfinger Berger Project Investments based in Germany and the UK. With over 10 years’ experience Lieven has an in depth knowledge as an infrastructure investor and financial advisor across both the social as well as the transport sectors. Lieven is a council member of IPFA (International Project Finance Association) Asia.
